Israeli occupation forces demolished a Palestinian home and a carpentry workshop on Monday in Khirbet Qalqas, south of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, leaving two families displaced and causing extensive damage to surrounding agricultural land.
Abdul-Rahman Abu Sneina, the son of the homeowner, said a large Israeli military force invaded Khirbet Qalqas accompanied by heavy machinery before demolishing the two‑story home of his father, Nayef Abu Sneina.
The house, which measured approximately 500 square meters and sheltered five family members, was reduced to rubble within minutes.
He added that the soldiers also uprooted several fruit‑bearing trees, bulldozed agricultural land, and destroyed stone walls and fences surrounding the property.
During the same invasion, the army demolished a carpentry workshop belonging to Mohammad Abdul-Rahman Abu Sneina, causing significant financial losses, and depriving the family of its primary source of income.
Residents said the demolitions were carried out without prior warning and are part of the ongoing escalation of home demolitions and land seizures across the occupied West Bank, particularly in the Hebron district, where Palestinian communities continue to face repeated invasions, property destruction, and movement restrictions imposed by the Israeli military.
