Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, many Palestinians during a nonviolent protest against the illegal Israeli annexation of Palestinian lands west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah and injured several Palestinians.
The procession was organized by political parties and social institutions, in cooperation with the Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies, in the villages of Ni’lin and Deir Qiddis, west of Ramallah.
The Palestinians marched in condemnation of the escalating violations by the soldiers and the illegal colonialist settlers, especially the illegal annexation of their lands in Jabal al-Alam Mountain, including when the colonists recently installed a shed on Palestinian lands, in an attempt to occupy more lands.
The soldiers attacked the nonviolent protesters with gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets, causing many injuries.
In addition, the soldiers attacked many journalists and attempted to force them out of the area, to prevent them from documenting the violations.
The mayor of Ni’lin, Emad al-Khawaja, stated that the Palestinians will continue their protests against the illegal Israeli occupation and its colonies, and added that residents are defending their homes, lands, and their livelihood despite the escalating crimes against them.
The illegal Israeli colonists are trying to occupy the Palestinian lands and orchards to prepare for paving a road that would link between the various colonies in the area, amidst ongoing attempts to illegally annex more than 3000 Dunams of Palestinian lands.
It is worth mentioning that a colonist from Nili illegal colony recently installed a shed on Palestinian lands in Jabal al-Alam mountain to facilitate the takeover of Palestinian lands.
