Israeli soldiers kidnapped, Sunday, a young Palestinian man who crossed the border fence, and entered the Eshkol regional council of settlement, close to the border area in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army said that the soldiers noticed the man after he cut through the border fence, close to Holeet town, in the Eshkol Regional Council, and arrested him.
The army added that the young man was not armed when the soldiers took him to an interrogation center.
Many Palestinians try to cross the border fence seeking work in Israel despite the risks of being captured or even shot by the soldiers, due to the dire situation and increasing levels of poverty in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip.
