On Sunday, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian and injured many others in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Media sources said the army fired live rounds at displaced Palestinians while they were inspecting their bombarded homes in the neighborhood.
They stated that the army killed two Palestinians and injured many others from the Obeid family.
In addition, an Israeli military drone fired live rounds at Palestinians in the Za’afaran area, east of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that five Palestinians were killed and 37 were injured in several parts of the Gaza Strip within 24 hours.
On Friday, an Israeli drone strike killed two Palestinians and injured many others near the Al-Mu’tasim Mosque on Al-Mansoura Street in Gaza City. The attacks are part of escalating violations of the fragile ceasefire agreement which came into effect on January 19, 2025.
Israel also continues to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, maintaining the closure of all crossings.
Since the fragile ceasefire deal was reached in January, the Israeli army has continued its violations of the agreement, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.
The first phase of the mediated agreement ended in early March without any breakthrough in what was supposed to be the second phase of the deal, an issue that is increasing fears of the continuation of the genocide in the coastal enclave.
The devastated humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to decline amidst the destruction, siege, and lack of basic resources, including food and medical supplies.
Israel has now killed 48,458 Palestinians and injured more than 111,896, largely children and women, in addition to the dozens of Palestinians who remain under the rubble in various parts of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
