The Israeli army continued its violations of the ceasefire agreement in the devastated Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing three Palestinians, including a fisherman, as Israeli forces carried out additional attacks through artillery shelling and live fire targeting several areas across the besieged Strip.

The escalation came as Israeli military operations continued across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, including artillery shelling, live fire, the detonation of homes and residential blocks, and repeated attacks on shelters and tents housing displaced families, particularly in the northern and eastern parts of the Strip.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli navy killed a Palestinian fisherman and seriously injured another off the coast of Deir al‑Balah in central Gaza.

Medical sources confirmed that the fisherman, Mohammad Mousa Abu Jiyab, was shot and killed by Israeli forces, and another was seriously wounded, while working at sea off the coast of Deir al‑Balah.

His death adds to the growing toll of Palestinians killed in ongoing Israeli attacks despite the declared ceasefire.

Zakariya Bakr, coordinator of the Fishermen’s Syndicate in Gaza, said Israeli forces also abducted four fishermen near the shore of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, just hours after the deadly attack on fishermen off the coast of Deir al‑Balah.

Furthermore, the Civil Defense in Gaza said the bodies of two Palestinians, killed in an earlier Israeli strike on the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, were transferred to Al‑Shifa Hospital.

In separate incidents, Israeli forces opened fire north of the al‑Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while artillery units shelled areas in the northern part of the Strip and the eastern outskirts of Khan Younis in the south.

Also, Israeli shelling caused widespread destruction to the tents of displaced families in the Al‑Mawasi area of Khan Younis after targeting a home belonging to Osama Antar Zo’rob.

The Israeli shelling caused widespread destruction to the tents of displaced families in the Al‑Mawasi, amid the ongoing escalation across the Strip.

Eastern Khan Younis was also subjected to intense artillery bombardment, accompanied by low‑flying Israeli drones over the western parts of the city, while military vehicles fired smoke bombs north of the Al‑Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

On Saturday, at least nine Palestinians were killed and more than fifteen were injured, in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza.

Over recent days, the Israeli army has escalated its assaults, committing daily massacres in multiple areas and expanding its occupation into new zones of the devastated territory.

Israeli forces continue to violate the “ceasefire” through air and artillery strikes near displaced persons’ shelters, along with demolition operations inside what is known as the “yellow line” zone. Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travelers also remain in place.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Israeli occupation forces have killed 10 Palestinians and injured 36 across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry added that the number of Palestinians killed since the start of the “ceasefire” on October 11, 2025, has risen to 961, with 3,020 injuries and 782 bodies recovered from rubble and streets.

The cumulative toll of Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,971 killed and 173,128 wounded, underscoring the immense human cost of the continuing Israeli aggression.
