On the first hours of Wednesday, Day 156 of the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells killed dozens of Palestinians, including many women and children, and injured scores of residents, after targeting their homes. Two children die after power generators ran out of fuel in central Gaza.
Al-Jazeera said the number of slain Palestinians, including children, who were killed in an Israeli air strike that targeted a three-story home in the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, has risen to 27 and many were injured, while search and rescue efforts continue amidst limited means and ongoing Israeli attacks.

The WAFA Palestinian News & Infor Agency said most of the slain and wounded Palestinians sheltered in the property after fleeing northern Gaza, seeking a safer area.
Furthermore, the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah ran out of fuel needed to keep it generators running, leading to the death of two children.
In Gaza City, the army fired a missile at a home in the As-Sedra area in the Daraj neighborhood, east of the city, in addition to firing many artillery shells at homes and buildings in several parts of the city.
At least twenty Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured, in addition to many who remain under the rubble of a residential tower the Israeli army bombarded in the western part of Gaza City.
Also, dozens of Palestinians were killed and many were injured when the army fired barrages of missiles and shells and homes and buildings in the City.
The Rimal neighborhood and the areas around the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza were also subject to extensive Israeli air strikes targeting many homes and buildings.
The army also fired missiles at apartments in a residential building in the Mushtaha apartment building in front of the Shawwa residential tower, in the center of Gaza City.
Al-Jazeera said the Israeli army “kept up a relentless campaign of attacks, flattening homes and killing dozens of people.”
It added that, in just one of these bombings, the army destroyed a home for the Miqbil family, killing 15 Palestinians, and burying many more under the rubble.
The Israeli army continued its massive invasion of the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, forced all patients and families that sheltered there, out of the medical facility, and abducted more than 300.
In Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, the army fired many artillery shells and missiles at the western areas of the city, causing many casualties.
The Israeli army also resumed in bombing of various areas of the Al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
In addition, many casualties were reported after the army fired missiles and shells at the western areas off Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.
The United Nations warned that the lives of more than 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are at risk, while the World Food Program warned of famine.
The European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Israel is using starvation in Gaza as a weapon of war.
World Health Organization said that an increasing number of children in the Gaza Strip are on the brink of death due to acute hunger, and added that newborns are “simply dying because of low birth weight”.
Al-Jazeera English interviewed Dr. Nick Maynard, a consultant surgeon who was recently volunteering in Gaza, who said: “I have witnessed the worst cases in my career of thirty years, at the Al-Aqsa Hospital,” in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.
Dr. Maynard told Al-Jazeera that “so many clinical injuries, mostly children and women, and added that they have “terrible burns, traumatic wounds and no real room to deal with these tragic cases.”
Dr. Maynard informed Al-Jazeera is one of the cases, a young girl with facial burns that were “so bad that bone could be seen, and was going to die” and added that the girl eventually died in agony on the emergency department food, because “we had no pain relief to give her.”
Britain’s Foreign Office announced that more than 2.000 tons of UK-funded food is planned to be delivered by the World Food Program, adding that that aid can feed about 275.000 Palestinians. More than 2 Million Palestinians have been displaced across the coastal enclave.
The Foreign Office also said that it provided UNICEF 150 tons of assistance, including tents and blankets, to distribute in the Gaza Strip.
David Cameron, the UK’s Foreign Secretary, said humanitarian access is urgently needed to get more aid in the Gaza Strip, and alleged that his country continues to push Israel to open more crossings and for longer periods to allow the entry of humanitarian aid, including medicine, and that the UK wants healthcare, water, and sanitation to be restored in the devastated coastal enclave.
Israel has now killed at least 31.819 Palestinians and injured more than 74.000, mostly women, children, and the elderly, in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, in addition to the thousands who remain missing, largely buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, and in alleys, in various parts of the destroyed coastal enclave.
