Monday, day 269 of the Israeli assault on the entire civilian population of 2.24 million Palestinians in Gaza, was another hot, dry day marked by continuous Israeli bombardment on the camps of internally-displaced refugees who have moved again and again at the instruction of the Israeli military, but are still being targeted by bombs.

According to the Palestinian Wafa news agency, a number of Palestinians were killed and others were injured tonight in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling on several locations in the Gaza Strip, focusing on Khan Younis city in the south, and on the al-Shujaiya neighborhood and al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical and local sources said that a number of people were killed and many more wounded as a result of the occupation’s shelling of the displaced people in the Customs Police neighborhood east of Khan Yunis, where the Israeli occupation forces forced thousands of citizens, wounded and sick people to leave the European Gaza Hospital east of the city, under a heavy barrage of artillery shelling and threats to target them.

Israeli warplanes targeted the Hijazi family’s house in the Ma’an area east of Khan Yunis with a missile, destroying the home.

The Israeli occupation aircraft also launched a series of raids on the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, while the occupation artillery renewed its shelling of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The sources added that a number of citizens were injured when the occupation bombed the Abu Jalala family’s house west of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Five Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Monday evening in Israeli shelling of Gaza City.

Paramedics and a medical source at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City reported that four civilians from the Salem family and a fifth from the Abu Saydo family were killed in an Israeli bombardment that targeted a gathering of citizens at the Abd al-Aal intersection on al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City. They are: Walid Mustafa Salem, Sami Ibrahim Salem, Jamal Basil Salem, Basil Jamal Salem, and Falah Muhammad Abu Saydo, while 10 others were injured.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 37,900 citizens, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of more than 87,060 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
