On Wednesday, the 278th straight day of Israeli bombardment and attacks on the entire population of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army dropped fliers ordering Palestinians in Gaza City to evacuate using a certain route, then attacked the people as they followed those instructions and traveled along the route.

Israeli snipers and drones killed dozens of Palestinians, most of them children, in attacks on several areas in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army said in paper leaflets dropped by Israeli aircraft on different areas of Gaza, “To all those present in Gaza City, safe corridors enable you to pass quickly and without inspection from Gaza City to the shelters in Deir al-Balah and al-Zawaida.”

“We inform you that Tariq Bin Ziyad and Omar Al-Mukhtar streets are safe passages to cross west to Rashid Street (the sea) and from there south” the fliers stated in Arabic, and included a map showing Palestinians where they were supposed to walk, saying, “Al-Wahda and Khalil Al-Wazir streets are considered safe passages to cross east to Al-Zeitoun neighborhood and the city roundabout, and from there to Salah Al-Din Street south”.

Despite claiming that these areas are ‘safe passages’, the Israeli occupation army then targeted areas in Deir al-Balah and al-Zawayda.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera reporters that 14 Palestinians were killed since dawn Wednesday in Israeli raids on several areas in the central and southern Gaza Strip.

For its part, the Palestinian News Agency Wafa reported that 8 Palestinians, including 6 children, were killed in the Nuseirat camp, while 10 others, including women, were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted homes in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.

Israeli occupation aircraft also targeted commercial stores and blew up residential buildings in the Al-Maghraqa area in the central governorate of the Gaza Strip.

In Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, two Palestinians were killed, and others were injured as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a house in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of the city.

Yesterday, the occupation raids resulted in the death of 50 Palestinians, and one of them caused a massacre that claimed the lives of 17 people from one family west of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The government media office in Gaza said, “The occupation army committed a horrific massacre west of the Nuseirat camp, which claimed the lives of 17 martyrs from the Abu Freih family, including 14 children and a woman.”
