On Thursday, October 31, day 391 of Israel’s ongoing genocide against the entire civilian population of the Gaza Strip (which has for decades been called the largest open-air prison on earth), dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured before dawn on Thursday morning in Israeli shelling of the northern and central Gaza Strip.

The assault on the northern Gaza towns of Beit Lahia and Jabalia continued for the twenty-seventh consecutive day, through intensive ground and air bombardment, and a tight siege preventing the entry of food, water and medicine to force citizens to flee south.

Medical sources reported that a number of Palestinians were killed, and others were injured, as a result of the occupation’s artillery shelling of homes in the town of Beit Lahia.

Four people were killed, and others were injured when an Israeli occupation drone bombed a vehicle west of Al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Also at dawn on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces penetrated towards the schools of Tal al-Zaatar and Tal al-Rabi’ in the city of Beit Lahia and warned the displaced people in them via “Quadcopter” marches to evacuate the two schools.

More than 100,000 citizens who remained in their homes or the buildings they were displaced to in northern Gaza are suffering from tragic conditions, as a result of the intensive raids and fire from vehicles and drones.

During the past 27 days, the Israeli aggression on the northern governorate left about a thousand martyrs, hundreds of wounded and arrested, the destruction of entire residential neighborhoods, and the displacement of thousands of citizens to the south.

The occupation forces are still preventing medical teams from reaching the injured in the northern Gaza Strip to provide them with medical assistance, in light of the suspension of health services, civil defense, ambulance and emergency services.

The occupation forces also blew up residential buildings in Jabalia camp, and fires broke out in houses around Sheikh Zayed roundabout and Beit Lahia project as a result of the intensive artillery shelling since dawn today.

On Thursday morning, Israeli warplanes struck the third floor of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, igniting a fire in a storage room that held recently delivered medicines and medical supplies from the Health Organization.

Due to the ongoing attacks, medical sources have reported a complete halt in all surgical services at the hospital.

In addition, Israeli military vehicles advanced around the Indonesian Hospital, firing directly at the facility and its surrounding area.

Rescue teams have indicated that all rescue and firefighting operations in northern Gaza have been forcibly halted for the eighth consecutive day due to continuous Israeli bombing, leaving thousands of citizens without essential medical care or services.

Medical sources reported that several citizens were killed, and others injured, with varying degrees of severity due to artillery shelling on several homes in the town of Beit Lahia.

Furthermore, Al-Jazeera reported that Israeli forces bombed the desalination plant, the kidney dialysis unit, the engineering and maintenance departments, and water tanks at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

Earlier this morning, Al-Jazeera said that Israeli forces bombed the third floor of Kamal Adwan Hospital, causing a fire in a storage room containing medicines and medical supplies received five days ago from the World Health Organization.

The bombing caused many injuries, including among the medical staff, patients and the families.

The devastated hospitals and the neutralized Civil Defense system are making it impossible for rescue operations to be carried out after the army bombarded the ambulances and fire trucks.

Dozens of residents who remain under the rubble, isolated in bombarded areas, are dying from their wounds, while the army continues to escalate the bombing of Beit Lahia.

Dozens of thousands of Palestinians in Beit Lahia were recently forced out of Jabalia in northern Gaza and headed to the city seeking shelter but are facing the same fate due to the Israeli bombing and shelling.

Al-Jazeera correspondent said all wounded Palestinians in Beit Lahia are bleeding to death as no one can reach them, and added that patients, especially the elderly and children in schools, are now completely isolated and are constantly targeted by Israeli drones even when they try to reach restrooms.

Furthermore, four Palestinians were killed, and many were injured, in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle west of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

As part of its targeting of the health sector, the occupation forces fired directly at the Indonesian Hospital and the surrounding area north of Jabalia camp.

On the evening of October 5, Israeli special forces infiltrated and surrounded Jabalia and its camp from the east and west, coinciding with dozens of airstrikes and fire belts.

The next day, citizens in northern Gaza woke up to leaflets dropped by the occupation’s marches warning them to move to what it claimed was a “humanitarian area” in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

However, the occupation army did not give the citizens enough time to evacuate, and quickly closed the streets connecting the North Gaza Governorate and Gaza City, by destroying residential buildings and blocking the roads with rubble.

The displaced people on those roads were also targeted with gunfire and shells, and many of them were martyred. Thus, the entire northern region was completely surrounded, with Jabalia at its heart, and entry and exit from it was prevented from occurring since the day following the start of this genocide.

The occupation followed a new method by besieging the displaced persons’ shelters and schools in Jabalia, its camp, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, forcing those inside to flee, burning and destroying them, separating women from men, arresting many of them and abusing them.

The occupation army did not stop there, but rather pursued those citizens who insisted on staying in their homes, and launched bloody raids on populated residential areas in various areas, which led to the killing and injury of hundreds.

The occupation forces continue to besiege the three hospitals operating in northern Gaza, namely Kamal Adwan, Indonesian and Al-Awda, and have completely put them out of service . They also target ambulances and civil defense vehicles, which are now completely unable to provide services.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the killing of 43,163 citizens, and the injury of 101,510 others, the majority of whom are children and women, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of missing people are still under the rubble, amid the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the besieged Strip .
