Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked a Bedouin gathering on Sunday near the concrete‑mixing factories on the western outskirts of al‑‘Auja, north of Jericho in the northeastern occupied West Bank, in addition to Bedouin communities near Hebron and in the Northern Plains.

According to the al‑Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, a group of colonizers stormed the area and stole a tractor cart and a transport carrier belonging to Palestinian resident Madhi Ahmad Ka’abna.

Al-Baydar added that the colonizers also vandalized and destroyed Ka’abna’s personal property before withdrawing toward nearby colonial outposts.

In related news, a group of colonizers invaded Khirbet Samra Bedouin community in the Northern Plains of the occupied West Bank.

In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, Israeli colonizers attack Palestinian shepherd in Um al-Kheir community in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

Human‑rights monitors reported that the attacks fit into a broader pattern of escalating settler violence in the al‑‘Auja region, where Bedouin communities have faced repeated invasions, property destruction, and intimidation aimed at forcing families to leave their land.

Over recent months, colonizers have expanded their presence around the western and northern edges of al‑‘Auja, establishing new herding outposts and fencing off grazing areas traditionally used by Palestinian shepherds.

Al‑Baydar noted that these assaults have already resulted in the displacement of dozens of families. In January 2026 alone, at least twenty families from the Shalal al‑‘Auja Bedouin community were forced to dismantle their tents and leave the area after sustained harassment, threats, and the seizure of livestock.

The organization warns that the ongoing campaign amounts to a systematic effort to depopulate Bedouin communities across the Jordan Valley in favor of expanding Israeli colonies.

Local residents report that colonizers frequently invade grazing lands, block access to water sources, and use drones, dogs, and armed intimidation to pressure families into abandoning their homes.

In several documented cases, colonizers have grazed their livestock inside Palestinian residential areas, destroyed tents and animal shelters, and stolen agricultural equipment—actions that severely undermine the economic survival of Bedouin communities.

Human‑rights organizations continue to warn that without international intervention, the pattern of forced displacement in the Jordan Valley will accelerate, threatening the survival of long‑established Bedouin communities and further entrenching Israeli control over the region.
