On the 87th day since the resumption of the genocide in Gaza on March 18th (after just 40 days of ceasefire), Israeli forces have killed more than 52 Palestinians and wounded hundreds across the besieged enclave, many while awaiting humanitarian aid. At least 26 civilians were killed and dozens injured in those incidents alone.
Medical sources in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, said five Palestinians were killed, and several injured, in an Israeli shelling of the Baten as-Sameen area on the city. The western part of the city was also struck with live fire and several artillery shells.
The Israeli military also declared the area surrounding Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis an active evacuation and operations zone.
Three were killed in a strike on Gaza Old Street in Jabalia, northern Gaza, and transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City. Israeli military drones also fired many live rounds at Palestinian homes in Jabalia.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army forced the displaced families, sheltering in Halawa school in Jabalia, to evacuate and head to central Gaza.
The evacuated school is the last shelter the Palestinians have in Jabalia, and the largest in northern Gaza, has been evacuated following warnings of a potential airstrike targeting the area.
In addition, four Palestinians were killed, and many injured, when Israeli forces targeted a gathering near Al-Maqousi Towers, west of Gaza City. Warplanes also hit a home belonging to the Al-Barsh family in the same area.
The Israeli army has ordered the evacuation of Gaza City’s Old Town and the neighborhoods of Rawda and Tuffah, raising fears of intensified bombardment.
In central Gaza, sources at the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, said an Israeli drone killed at least six Palestinians, and injured many in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.
In Rafah, the southernmost area of Gaza, eight more Palestinians were killed and others injured when Israeli troops opened fire near aid distribution centers.
Medics with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society identified the victims as Yahia Ibrahim Al-Habibi, Saleh Ashraf Abu Ta’ima, Mohammad Marwan Mohareb, Moayyad Emad-Uddin Sarsak, Mohammad Anwar Nahhal, Mohammad Nahedh Dababish, Mohammad Saleh Al-Madani, and Rajab Sabri Abu Sultan.
Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat told Al Jazeera that Israeli gunfire killed 13 civilians and injured 200 others near the Netzarim corridor, where large crowds had gathered waiting for humanitarian aid.

Since March 18, when Israel resumed its military campaign, it has issued ongoing evacuation orders across Gaza, further displacing hundreds of thousands.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health said this announcement sparked panic among patients and medical personnel. The hospital remains one of Gaza’s few remaining functioning healthcare centers.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that over 10,000 people in Gaza urgently require medical evacuation outside the territory due to the worsening humanitarian crisis. The situation has severely strained Gaza’s already overwhelmed healthcare system, which continues to operate under extreme shortages of medical supplies, equipment, and personnel.
In a joint statement Thursday evening, the foreign ministers of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom, along with EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urgent restoration of aid access, and the release of all hostages. The appeal came after a high-level security summit in Rome, also attended by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister.

Meanwhile, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that 82% of Gaza is now under military evacuation orders or designated as Israeli military zones, leaving civilians with almost nowhere to go.
A UN spokesperson told Reuters that internet services have collapsed due to intensified Israeli bombardment, crippling humanitarian coordination. Communication breakdowns have left civilians cut off from emergency support and further obstructed relief efforts.
In addition, UNRWA said on X that it lost all contact with its colleagues in Gaza, communications have been cut off, and added, “this morning, for the first time in months, we did not receive their morning messages to say, ‘good morning’ and ‘we are fine/alive’. We anxiously await to hear from our colleagues.”
The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported that in the last 24 hours, 103 Palestinians were killed and 427 others wounded, with all casualties transferred to hospitals across the coastal enclave.
Since early Thursday morning, 21 Palestinians were killed and more than 294 others injured after Israeli forces opened fire on civilians near aid distribution centers. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in recent attacks near American-run aid centers to 245, with 2,152 wounded.
The Ministry added that since Israel resumed its genocide in Gaza after violating the ceasefire agreement on March 18, 2025, at least 4,924 Palestinians have been killed, with 15,780 others wounded.
Since the beginning of the war, Israel has killed at least 55,207 Palestinians, including more than 16,507 children, 9,803 women, 4,036 elderly individuals, 254 journalists, 1,411 medical personnel, 203 UNRWA workers, and 113 Civil Defense members.
Additionally, at least 127,821 Palestinians, primarily children, women, and elderly, have been injured, while approximately 11,160 remain missing, largely buried under the rubble of bombarded homes, buildings, and alleyways across the devastated Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
