Top Palestinian negotiator, Dr. Saeb Erekat said on Sunday that the majority of international leaders oppose Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu’s colonial plans by, insisting that a two-state solution is the way out of the current Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
During phone calls with several world leaders, that Erekat initiated, leaders unanimously agreed that the stalled peace process between Israel and Palestine should be resumed on the basis of international law and all relevant United Nations’ resolutions.
According to the top Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) executive, international officials also asserted that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), should be enabled to continue to provide the much needed assistance to the Palestinian people in the occupied territories and abroad, especially in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Israel’s colonial settlement plans, Erekat said, are the ones related to the internationally-recognized occupied East Jerusalem and the Alghour area of northern West Bank, part of the fertile Jordan Valley.
