On Sunday, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers escalating their violations against the Palestinians in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said many colonizers, including some wearing Israeli military uniforms, invaded Wad Abu Jheish area in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, before abducting one Palestinian.

They said the colonizers assaulted Ibrahim Nawaj’a, causing cuts and bruises, before abducting him.

The colonizers also installed electricity poles on Palestinian lands in the Um Shaqhan area, near Tal Ma’in in Masafer Yatta, all the way to Avigal illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands.

In addition, dozens of Israeli colonizers gathered in and around a tent they installed on stolen Palestinian lands in Bruqin town, west of the central West Bank city of Salfit, and played loud music while partying on the stolen lands.

Since they installed the tent, a few days earlier, the colonizers have been gathering in large numbers, especially at night, playing music, in addition to carrying out assaults against the Palestinians and their property in the area.

On Sunday evening, paramilitary Israeli colonizers stormed several neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem, marking the anniversary of its occupation by raising Israeli flags.

Local sources reported that the colonizers organized a provocative march in the Baten Al-Hawa neighborhood of Silwan and held similar marches around the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, waving Israeli flags and chanting anti-Palestinian slogans.

Earlier in the day, Israeli forces set up iron barricades around Damascus Gate at the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City in preparation for securing the colonizers’ planned “Flag March” on Monday.

The march is set to begin in the Al-Buraq Plaza, passing through Damascus Gate and Al-Wad Street inside the Old City, areas densely populated by Palestinians.

Jerusalem’s governorate has warned of a dangerous escalation in the occupied city, as Israeli authorities continue to organize a series of settler-colonial events aimed at asserting Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem and imposing the reality of occupation by force, in blatant violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.

In an official statement, the governorate stressed that this annual march follows a systematic agenda of provocation, often accompanied by assaults on Palestinian residents and racist chants targeting Muslims and Christians.

Israeli police, providing tight security, plan to enforce a complete closure, barring the Palestinians from entering the match area, starting at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

It is noteworthy that the frequency of paramilitary colonizers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque has increased significantly since the onset of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, the colonizers burnt Palestinian lands, planted with wheat, in Salem Meadow area, east of the city, after invading the area and attacking Palestinians.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
