Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank on Friday, attacking worshippers, firing gas at civilians in public areas, breaking into homes, and abducting Palestinians in Bethlehem, Hebron, Jenin, and occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli forces invaded the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, and deployed around the Khalil al‑Wazir roundabout in the Abu Mufarreh neighborhood.
Tuqu’ Mayor, Tayseer Abu Mufarreh, stated that the soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades at worshippers as they exited the Hamza ibn Abdul‑Muttalib Mosque following evening prayers and detained several individuals inside the mosque for a period of time.
In a separate incident in the Bethlehem district, two Palestinians suffered gas inhalation after Israeli forces attacked civilians in the area of Solomon’s Pools, located between the town of Al‑Khader and the village of Artas in the southern West Bank.
Media sources said soldiers fired stun grenades at Palestinians visiting the historic site in an effort to force them to leave.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported treating two cases of tear‑gas inhalation and assisting five additional civilians.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a Palestinian man and broke into several homes. Soldiers invaded the village of Khursa southwest of Hebron, broke into the home of Jihad Salama Tbeish, ransacked it, and abducted him.
Forces also broke into two additional homes in the area between the village of At‑Tabqa and the town of Deir Samet, searching them and ransacking their contents.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces forced residents of the village of al‑Asa’sa to exhume the body of a man buried only hours earlier.
Soldiers compelled the family to remove the body and rebury it elsewhere, claiming the cemetery was too close to a nearby military‑controlled area.
The soldiers also invaded several areas in Nablus city, in the northern West Bank, and a number of surrounding villages and towns, before storming and ransacking homes, in addition to closing streets.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted a Palestinian man in the courtyards of the Al‑Aqsa Mosque.
Eyewitnesses said soldiers assaulted and abducted community activist Mohammad Abu al‑Hummus near Bab al‑Magharba.
In a separate incident, the soldiers invaded the town of Al‑‘Isawiya northeast of occupied Jerusalem and abducted a young man, identified as Yazan Jaber.
Also on Friday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers injured a man and his child and carried out a series of additional attacks across the occupied West Bank, burning property, invading Palestinian communities, and targeting agricultural lands from the southern to the northern districts.
These incidents reflect a continued escalation in Israeli military invasions and violations across the occupied West Bank, targeting worshippers, families, and civilians in public spaces and residential areas.
