Nine Palestinians, including a child, were injured late Friday when an Israeli airstrike targeted a home in the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, as Israeli bombardment and military violations continued across the Gaza Strip.
Medical and media sources in Gaza said the strike hit a house near Hamid Street in the Shati refugee camp, sparking a fire and causing multiple injuries.
The Palestinian Civil Defense reported that at 11:10 p.m., Israeli forces fired a missile at a single‑story home belonging to the Al‑Adham family in the “Block 9” area of the refugee camp, resulting in nine direct injuries.
The attack completely destroyed the targeted home and caused extensive damage to dozens of surrounding houses and buildings. Fires spread to nearby structures, leaving many families at risk of displacement due to the scale of destruction and the ongoing danger, according to the Civil Defense.

The Civil Defense called on the international community, human rights organizations, and mediators to intervene urgently to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip and to halt attacks on residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities.

Israeli artillery fire also continued east of Khan Younis, Deir al‑Balah, and the Al‑Maghazi refugee camp in the southern and central Gaza Strip, alongside the demolition of homes and buildings in several areas.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s health system is facing a catastrophic collapse. The Ministry of Health warned of an almost complete shutdown of medical diagnostic services.
According to a report by Al‑Jazeera correspondent Ghazi Al‑Aloul, the deficit in diagnostic capacity has reached 86 percent.
The shortage of laboratory testing materials threatens essential diagnostic procedures that doctors rely on to determine treatment protocols, placing thousands of patients at risk.
The absence of testing materials not only halts diagnosis but also paralyzes the entire treatment system, leaving patients without clear medical assessments and increasing the likelihood of deterioration or death.

Hospitals in Gaza received nine Palestinians killed and thirty‑nine injured over the past 24 hours, including six newly killed and three who succumbed to previous wounds.
Many victims remain under the rubble or in the streets, where ambulance and Civil Defense crews are unable to reach them due to ongoing attacks.
Since the “ceasefire” declared on October 11, 2025, the total number of Palestinians killed has risen to 846, with 2,418 injured and 769 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.
The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,628 killed and 172,520 injured. Civil defense teams say many victims remain under the rubble and on roads, unreachable due to ongoing Israeli fire and the collapse of rescue capabilities.
