Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of strikes and artillery attacks across the Gaza Strip on Monday, killing displaced civilians, wounding others, and causing additional deaths among Palestinians previously injured in earlier bombardments, in continued and widespread violations of the ceasefire agreement in place since October 2025.
Warplanes fired two missiles at a tent sheltering displaced families in the al‑Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, killing a 31‑year‑old woman and a six‑year‑old girl, and injuring at least seventeen Palestinians.
Medical teams reported that the same strike severed the foot of a one‑month‑old infant, who remains in critical condition. The infant’s mother was also killed in the attack.
The slain Palestinians have been identified as Binan Abdul-Nasser Mahmoud, 31, and Mennatallah Nabil Abu Libda, 6.

Also in Khan Younis, Ahmad Samir Farhat succumbed to injuries from an earlier strike west of the city.
In central Gaza, an Israeli airstrike targeted the at‑Tawil family home in the Nuseirat refugee camp, causing extensive destruction to surrounding houses.
Another strike hit the al‑Bashiti family residence in the al‑Maghazi refugee camp, leaving one victim in critical condition and injuring others.
Separately, Nidal Shalha died from wounds sustained days earlier when Israeli forces targeted security personnel near the at‑Tuwam area northwest of Gaza City.
The Gaza Ministry of Health confirmed that six Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours, including five killed in new attacks and one who died of earlier wounds. At least eight others were injured.
The ministry warned that the toll is likely higher, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or in areas unreachable due to ongoing Israeli fire.
Israeli artillery also shelled eastern Khan Younis throughout the day, accompanied by heavy gunfire from armored vehicles positioned along the “yellow line,” a demarcation zone established under ceasefire arrangements separating areas Israel withdrew from in the west from those it continues to occupy in the east.
In northern Gaza, artillery fire struck eastern Gaza City and areas east and north of Beit Lahia, while Israeli forces fired illumination rounds around Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Meanwhile, the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned of a sharp rise in infections and skin diseases due to severe shortages of fuel, pesticides, tents, and essential medical supplies. The agency said overcrowded shelters and the spread of rodents and insects are worsening public‑health conditions, urging the immediate and unrestricted entry of environmental‑health supplies to prevent further deterioration.
Since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces have killed 904 Palestinians and wounded 2,713, while 777 bodies have been recovered from beneath destroyed buildings.
The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,797 killed and 172,821 wounded across all governorates of the Gaza Strip.
