Israeli occupation forces demolished, Monday, two Palestinian commercial structures east of Qalqilia, in the northwestern West Bank, continuing a pattern of targeted destruction across Area C of the occupied West Bank.

Local sources said several military vehicles stormed the village of Nabi Elias and demolished a car‑wash facility and an auto‑body and paint shop belonging to Nasr Zahran, a resident of Qalqilia.

The army claimed the demolition was carried out under the pretext of building without an Israeli permit — a justification routinely used to block Palestinian development while expanding illegal Israeli colonies in the area.

Residents said the demolition caused significant financial losses and deprived the community of essential services, noting that Israel rarely grants Palestinians construction permits in Area C, forcing them to build without authorization.

In related news, Israeli forces invaded the Solomon’s Pools area, a historic and archaeological site between Al‑Khader and Artas south of Bethlehem.

Locals reported that several military jeeps entered the area via the new colonial road in Umm Muhyiddin, before soldiers deployed around the third pool.

Troops closed the entire site, blocked access to visitors, and set up a military checkpoint at the location.

Residents said the area has faced repeated incursions in recent months as part of a broader Israeli effort to assert control over heritage sites and surrounding lands.
