A Palestinian man was killed, and several others were wounded, on Wednesday after Israeli forces opened fire in multiple areas across the devastated Gaza Strip, in incidents that humanitarian agencies say reflect ongoing violations of the ceasefire framework.
Medical sources confirmed the death of Ayoub Abdel Ayesh Nasr, who was shot when Israeli forces fired toward a group of civilians in Jabalia al‑Balad, in northern Gaza. Two others were wounded in the same attack.
In the south, three Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, where Israeli forces have maintained a heavy presence despite the declared ceasefire.
Later in the evening, a young girl was shot near al‑Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza after Israeli forces opened fire toward civilians. She was transferred to Al‑Aqsa Hospital for treatment.
Three Palestinian children were injured after Israeli soldiers opened fire in the eastern area of Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza.
Humanitarian agencies, including the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), warn that the ceasefire remains “extremely fragile,” with civilians continuing to face risks from Israeli fire, restricted movement, and limited access to medical care.
Hamas Warns of Israeli Violations as Diplomatic Efforts Intensify
Senior Hamas official Khalil al‑Hayya warned that repeated Israeli violations threaten to obstruct the transition to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement aimed at ending the war in Gaza.
Al‑Hayya delivered the warning during meetings in Ankara, where a Hamas delegation held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the implementation of the ceasefire and the political and field developments.
According to a Hamas statement, the delegation reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to the ceasefire, while warning that ongoing Israeli attacks are “deliberate attempts to derail progress toward the next phase.”
Israeli Delegation in Cairo Focuses on Missing Soldier’s Remains
Meanwhile, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said an Israeli security delegation held meetings in Cairo on Wednesday to discuss efforts to retrieve the remains of the last Israeli soldier missing in Gaza.

The delegation included senior officials from the Israeli army, the Shin Bet, and the Mossad. Israel’s coordinator for prisoners and missing persons, Brig. Gen. Gal Hirsch, met with Egyptian officials and representatives of mediating countries.
🚨 Gaza Buried Under the Rubble of Genocide
Gaza is buried beneath 68 million tons of debris, the equivalent of 186 Empire State Buildings, due to Israeli army bombardment and its genocidal war, which has destroyed 81% of buildings and trapped an estimated 10,000 bodies under… pic.twitter.com/cE7qcOj3lb

Since the first phase of the ceasefire began on 10 October, Palestinian factions have handed over 20 Israeli captives alive and the bodies of 27 others. The remains of Ran Goeili are still unaccounted for.
Israel has tied the start of negotiations for Phase 2 to the return of Goeili’s body, while Hamas says locating it may require additional time due to the extensive destruction across the Gaza Strip.
U.S. Pressure and Israeli Concerns Ahead of Netanyahu–Trump Meeting
Israel’s Channel 13 reported concerns within the Israeli government that U.S. President Donald Trump may push for rapid movement to the second phase of the Gaza agreement without requiring the disarmament of Gaza, a key Israeli demand.
According to the report, Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff told senior Israeli officials that Washington expects Israel to advance to the next phase “as soon as possible,” potentially by early next month.
Humanitarian Toll Continues to Mount
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed approximately 71,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 171,000, the vast majority of them women and children.
