On Friday dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded Tulkarem city, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, searched and ransacked many homes, and abducted four Palestinians, including one journalist.

Media sources said several military vehicles invaded the city before the soldiers surrounded neighborhoods and stormed homes.

They added that the soldiers abducted a journalist, Hamza Mohammad Salama (Safi), 31, from his home in the northern neighborhood of the city, in addition to Mohammad Qassem Shahrour, 27, Ashraf At-Taher, and Bassel Abu Tammam.

The military vehicles advanced into and closed streets in several parts of the city, especially in its eastern and northern areas, in addition to the Nablus Street near Tulkarem refugee camp, the Housing Project behind Al-Quds Open University, Shweika junction, and Al-Maslakh Junction.

Protests were reported in several parts of Tulkarem; the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

Late Thursday night, Israeli soldiers invaded Beit Furik town, east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, and shot six Palestinians during ensuing protests.
