Updated: As the genocide in Gaza enters its 71st day, Israeli occupation forces have launched overnight airstrikes, causing dozens of casualties, including fatalities, just a day after massacres that claimed 81 Palestinian lives.
Update: On Tuesday evening, three Palestinians were killed, and dozens injured, when the army fired shells and live rounds at displaced Palestinians waiting to receive humanitarian aid in the western area of Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part.
Since March 2, the army has been closing all terminal leading to the devastated Gaza Strip, refusing to allow dozens of aid truck, filled with medical and humanitarian supplies, from entering.
Update: Israeli occupation forces launched airstrikes on Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on Tuesday evening, killing two Palestinians and injuring others.
Media sources said the soldiers bombed a tent sheltering displaced civilians in Asdaa, northwest of Khan Younis, resulting in the killing of Jamil Kamal Sobhi Mousa and Mohammad Kamal Sobhi Mousa, while several others were wounded.
Israeli artillery shelling also targeted Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, while warplanes destroyed a residential home belonging to the Qudeih family, near Al-Awda Schools in Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis.
Recent airstrikes have led to dozens of casualties, with hospitals struggling to cope due to severe shortages of medical supplies. The Gaza Health Ministry has warned that the blockade on humanitarian aid is worsening the crisis, leaving thousands at risk.
Update: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), dismissed reports of famine in Gaza, claiming starvation is not occurring.
According to reports, Netanyahu stated, “We arrested thousands of civilians and photographed them naked. They showed no signs of hunger. The people of Gaza do not exercise.”
Netanyahu’s remarks also bring attention to serious ethical concerns regarding the treatment of detainees.
The statement regarding civilians photographed naked adds further complexity to discussions about human rights violations and the handling of prisoners in conflict zones. Such actions could be considered a breach of fundamental rights and are likely to face condemnation from international organizations advocating for the humane treatment of all individuals, regardless of their circumstances.
Israeli warplanes struck eastern Gaza City multiple times, while naval forces opened fire on Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Strip.
Israeli troops also detonated residential buildings in northern Gaza, and artillery shelling in Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis, set homes ablaze, as fires erupted following heavy bombardment.

Meanwhile, continuous airstrikes targeted northwestern Gaza, particularly Al-Karama Towers, causing widespread destruction, with thick smoke rising from the affected areas.
In central Gaza, at least two Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli bombing, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
The recent bombings have resulted in high casualties, with hospitals overwhelmed as they struggle to cope with an influx of wounded civilians. Healthcare facilities face severe shortages of medical supplies, as Israel continues to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza.
The Gaza Municipality confirmed that an employee was killed, and two others injured in an Israeli shelling targeting Rimal neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City, while Saftawi area, northwest of the city, was also bombarded.
In Khan Younis, Palestinian rescue teams recovered two bodies from under the rubble of a destroyed home east of the city.
A British surgeon, volunteering in Gaza’s hospitals, has emphasized the critical humanitarian crisis, revealing that many patients are suffering from malnutrition.
Reports show severe malnutrition among children, leading to stunted growth, weakened immunity, and delayed recovery from injuries. International organizations warn that Israel’s blockade of food and medical supplies is endangering thousands of lives.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has reported that only 6 out of its 22 health centers remain operational due to ongoing airstrikes, drastically limiting medical access for civilians.
Aid is needed at scale in #Gaza. “There is a system in place that’s managed through UNRWA, use that system. We cannot waste more time on debates, plans, and ‘what ifs’. Kids are dying of starvation,” UNRWA @JulietteTouma tells @BBCNews.

UNRWA also stressed that basic medical supplies are critically low, warning of an urgent need for unrestricted humanitarian aid to save lives.
The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that most of Gaza’s medical supplies have been depleted, stating that there is an acute shortage of essential medicines, including pain relief pills, further worsening the suffering of patients and the wounded.
On the diplomatic front, efforts to end the onslaught are reportedly gaining momentum, with “reports of U.S. pressure urging Israel to halt its military campaign in Gaza.”
According to Al-Jazeera sources, Hamas and U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff have reached a tentative agreement in Doha, outlining a framework for a permanent ceasefire.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 54,056 Palestinians and injured over 123,129, mostly women and children, while thousands remain buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings across Gaza.
