Israeli occupation forces carried out wide invasions across the occupied West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, abducting at least twenty-two of Palestinians, including two women and three children, after the soldiers broke into homes and ransacked their contents.
The invasions are part of ongoing near‑daily operations that include confronting residents and damaging property.
The invasions resulted in the abduction of dozens of Palestinians who were transferred to Israeli intelligence for interrogation.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said at least twenty‑two Palestinians were abducted during the invasions, including two women and three children.
Among those taken from the town of Jayyous, northeast of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, were Lutfi Bilal Khaled, Hammoudi Basel Shamasna, Moder Beik, Murad Shahrour, Hoda Abdul‑Majid, Mahmoud al‑Kurdi, and Wael Shamasna.
In the Ramallah and al‑Bireh Governorate in the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted three children and a young man.
Media sources said the abducted children, Mohammad Ali al‑Qattami, 16, Mohammad Akram Armoush, 16, and Rami Yasser Salah, 17, were taken from the al‑Jalazoun refugee camp north of Ramallah after soldiers invaded the refugee camp, broke into their families’ homes, and searched and ransacked them.
The forces also abducted Haitham Emad Hasan Salah, 23, from the town of Aroura northwest of Ramallah, after stopping him at the Atara military roadblock north of the city.
In addition, the army invaded an area south of Ya’bad, west of Jenin in the northern West Bank, breaking into numerous homes and destroying the contents of three belonging to brothers Faraj, Fawzi, and Fayez Adel Amarna. Several military vehicles invaded the town from its main entrance before spreading through multiple neighborhoods.
The soldiers also invaded Sanur town, south of Jenin, searched homes and abducted a young man, Amir Mahmoud Habayba.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a woman and assaulted a resident during an invasion of the eastern part of the city, including Jerusalem Street, the Schools area, and the Balata refugee camp.
Soldiers broke into homes, searched them, and ransacked their contents before abducting Ruba Qamhiya from Jerusalem Street. They also assaulted a resident in the Schools area.
The forces further invaded the villages of Qusra and Awarta south of Nablus, and the town of Zawata to the west, breaking into homes and searching them, though no abductions were reported.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted eight young men from the village of Tayasir, east of Tubas.
Kamel Bani Odah, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Tubas, said the abducted residents have been identified as Ala’ Husam Abdul‑Latif Wahdan, Abdul‑Latif Mufleh Wahdan, Anas Fawwaz Wahdan, Fadi Walid Jaber Wahdan, Hamed Abdullah Mufid Dabak, Raed Hamdan Daraghma, Mohammad Jamal Daraghma, and Mohammad Abdel‑Rahman Wahdan.
The head of the village council, Khaled Abu Ali, said Israeli forces invaded the village, set up a flying military roadblock at its western entrance, and broke into numerous homes.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police abducted a woman, Montaha Amara, at one of the gates of the Al‑Aqsa Mosque and also abducted a young man from inside the mosque’s courtyards.
Also in Jerusalem, the soldiers invaded Shu’fat town, north of the city, searched homes and abducted a young man, Ahmad Dajani.
The abductions followed invasions by Israeli police and military forces into the courtyards of Al‑Aqsa to escort dozens of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers during repeated incursions. These invasions resumed after a 40‑day halt during the Israeli‑American war on Iran and Lebanon.
