On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation authorities confiscated 144 Dunams of Palestinian lands in the Al-Jalama and Arbouna villages, north of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The head of Arbouna Village Council, Amjad Abu Farha, said the lands are near the Israeli military roadblock in the northwestern area and are privately owned by Palestinians from the two villages.
Abu Farha added that the military order states that the lands, including eleven Dunams owned by the Department of Waqf and Islamic Endowment, will remain off-limits to the Palestinians until December 31, 2027.
However, in numerous similar cases, the lands either remained under the army’s control or were handed to the illegal colonizers.
Resident Saleh Mahmoud Abu Farha said the confiscation order includes 600 meters of his land where the army intends to build a section of the illegal Annexation Wall.
