The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society published, on Thursday the names of fifty-one female prisoners from Gaza in the Israeli “Damoun” prison.

The organizations added that this is not an exhaustive list, and that many of the identities have not been released.

They added that among the fifty-one female detainees are an elderly woman and children, however no further information has been provided.

The report stated that the conditions of the detainees are not known, and that they are facing tragic conditions.

The occupation abducted these female from the war-ravaged Gaza Strip, denies them legal assistance or any oversight from human rights organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The report revealed that the Israeli prison administration announced that it is detaining 661 Gaza citizens, which it has classified as “unlawful combatants”, without any evidence.

Many testimonies by released detainees have indicated that they endured torture and abuse at the hands of the Israeli prison administration.

There have been recent revelations of Gaza detainees being humiliated and degraded by the occupation army, who rounded up dozens of Palestinian citizens of Gaza, forcing them to take off their clothes.
