Israeli occupation authorities have escalated their colonial expansion in the northern West Bank, issuing a new series of military orders to seize nearly 200 dunams of Palestinian land across several towns in the Jenin district.
The orders, revealed over the past two days, target agricultural areas in Arraba, al Yamun, Qabatia, Misilya, Marka, and Jarba, marking one of the largest coordinated land‑grab operations in the region this year.
Tareq Eghbariya, who heads the colonies’ monitoring file in Jenin, said the new orders include multiple land‑seizure decisions covering extensive areas of privately owned Palestinian farmland.
The orders designate 2.662 dunams, 6.845 dunams, and 680 square meters of land in Arraba; 22 dunams in al Yamun; and 9.501 dunams in Arraba, Qabatia, and Marka. The orders affecting Arraba were issued in multiple separate parcels, each listed under a different military order and map reference.
Additional orders target 27.433 dunams in Marka, Jarba, and Qabatia, as well as 5.108, 7.238, 4.461, 5.694, 10.458, and 6.371 dunams in Qabatia. Shared lands between Misilya and Qabatia are also affected, with 2.023 dunams and 41.6 dunams listed for confiscation.
According to The Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, fourteen of the new military orders are designated for the construction and expansion of military roads totaling more than 11.3 kilometers.
These roads are planned for the southern and southeastern parts of Jenin to serve newly approved colonial sites. One order allocates 22 dunams of land in al Yamun for a new military base and access road in the northern part of the district.
The Commission said the maps attached to the orders reveal a unified project aimed at re‑engineering military movement and control across Jenin, rather than isolated “security needs,” by redesigning three major road segments along the district’s southern axis.
Eghbariya warned that Jenin is witnessing a rapid escalation in land‑seizure and confiscation orders, particularly in the southern areas of Arraba, Qabatia, and Misilya.
He described the situation as “catastrophic,” urging immediate collective action to halt the expansion of illegal colonies that consume agricultural lands, undermine Palestinian livelihoods, and push residents toward forced displacement.
He added that the new land‑seizure orders coincide with intensified demolition notices and stop‑work orders, stressing that these measures are not random, but part of a systematic Israeli policy aimed at erasing Palestinian presence through land confiscation and the imposition of new colonial realities in Jenin.
The Jenin district has faced continuous Israeli invasions, demolitions, and land confiscations since early 2026, as part of a broader strategy to expand military infrastructure and connect colonial outposts across the northern West Bank.
The latest wave of orders follows similar actions in Tubas, Nablus, and Salfit, where Israeli forces have seized thousands of dunams under the pretext of “security roads,” a network serving illegal colonizers and the army.
Palestinian officials and rights groups warn that these coordinated measures form part of a long‑term plan to fragment Palestinian territorial continuity, isolate communities, and entrench Israel’s de facto annexation of occupied West Bank lands.
