On Monday, the Israeli occupation issued orders confiscating 14 dunums of Palestinian land in the towns of Haris and Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

Nathmi Salam, a local activist against the illegal Israeli colonialist activities said the Israeli occupation authorities delivered a military order to confiscate 14 dunums of land.

Salman added that the illegal Israeli decision states that the annexation of the is valid for four years, ending in 2028, and citizens can object within a period of only 7 days; however, such measures are usually a pretext aiming at the permeant annexation of the lands.

Salman added that Israel wants to annex the Palestinian lands to expand Kiryat Netafim, illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands east of Qarawat Bani Hassan.

Over the last several months, Israel has been conducting extensive constructions to expand it by annexing more Palestinian lands.

The ongoing work can be clearly seen in the area to the right of the main street that connects Palestinian communities in the western areas of Salfit governorate.

On Sunday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian orchards in the village of Yasuf, east of Salfit, in the occupied West Bank’s central part, and uprooted at least 100 olive trees.

In related news, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked a Palestinian home and stole nine sheep in Khirbat Al-Himma community in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
