Israeli warplanes carried out deadly airstrikes, Saturday, targeting Jabalia refugee camp and a civilian vehicle in western Gaza City, killing three Palestinians, and injuring at many others, as the death toll from Israel’s ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip continues to rise amid relentless bombardment and a deepening humanitarian collapse.

In a most recent update, the Health Ministry in Gaza said one Palestinian was killed in an Israeli strike targeting displaced residents in front of Abu Hussein School in Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza.

Several Palestinians were also injured by live rounds, fired by Israeli soldiers in several parts of Jabalia town.

Also, medical sources confirmed that Baha’ Baroud, 41, and Abdul‑Karim Nassar were killed when an Israeli aircraft fired at least two missiles at a Palestinian vehicle on the Nasr Street, west of Gaza City. Several passersby were also wounded and transferred to Al‑Shifa Medical Complex for treatment.

The strike occurred in an area repeatedly targeted in recent weeks as Israeli forces continue to hit civilian infrastructure, residential blocks, and public roads.

Several Palestinians were also injured after Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at displaced Palestinians in the center of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Israeli ground forces continue operations in parts of Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Rafah, conducting home invasions, detentions, and demolitions.

Witnesses told Ma’an News that Israeli bulldozers destroyed several residential structures near the Tuffah neighborhood, while drones fired on civilians attempting to flee the area.

Reports from Al‑Jazeera, Quds News Network, and Ma’an News indicate that Israeli forces continued shelling multiple areas on Saturday.

Artillery fire struck neighborhoods near Beit Hanoun and Jabalia in northern Gaza, while renewed airstrikes targeted areas around Al‑Bureij and Al‑Maghazi refugee camps in central Gaza. In the south, Israeli drones and artillery hit areas east of Rafah and Khan Younis, where thousands of displaced families remain trapped in makeshift shelters.

The Gaza Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that the overall death toll from Israel’s assault on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,757 Palestinians killed and 172,645 wounded since October 7, 2023. In the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received 13 Palestinians killed, including one who succumbed to earlier wounds, and 57 injured.

Since the ceasefire announced on October 11, 2025, the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza has reached 870, with 2,543 wounded, while 771 bodies have been recovered from destroyed buildings.

Medical teams warn that many victims remain trapped under rubble and in streets that rescue crews cannot reach due to ongoing bombardment and the collapse of emergency services.

Health officials also reported the death of a civilian due to the collapse of a structurally damaged building, raising the number of Palestinians killed by building collapses to 30 since the beginning of the year.

The widespread destruction of residential areas, combined with the absence of heavy machinery and fuel, has made rescue operations nearly impossible.

Humanitarian agencies warn that Gaza’s health system has “completely collapsed,” with only a handful of partially functioning medical facilities remaining.

Al‑Shifa, Nasser, and the European Gaza Hospital continue to operate at minimal capacity, lacking fuel, surgical supplies, and essential medications.

The United Nations and international relief organizations report that famine conditions are worsening, especially in northern Gaza, where children are dying from malnutrition and dehydration.

Aid convoys remain severely restricted, and several trucks were turned back on Saturday at the Kerem Shalom crossing, according to Al‑Jazeera Arabic.

More than 1.9 million Palestinians remain displaced across the Gaza Strip, many of them multiple times, with no safe zones available anywhere in the territory.
