Israeli occupation forces abducted several Palestinians, including two children and an elderly man, late Saturday after illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers assaulted residents in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Media sources said soldiers abducted 16‑year‑old Rida Odah after colonizers attacked him and other Palestinians in the Old City.
The sources added that Odah suffers from chronic health conditions and requires continuous medical follow‑up and medication, raising concerns about his safety in Israeli custody.
Occupation police also abducted 64‑year‑old Akram Zghayyar after colonizers assaulted him inside his shop.
Witnesses reported that colonizers stormed the area, attacked Palestinian shopkeepers, and vandalized property while Israeli forces provided protection and later detained the victims instead of the attackers.
Israeli forces further abducted child Abdul‑Rahman Maswada, despite him suffering head wounds caused by colonizer assaults. He was later released after receiving initial treatment.
The Old City has witnessed a sharp escalation in attacks by armed colonizers, who frequently storm Palestinian neighborhoods under heavy military protection. These assaults are often followed by the abduction of Palestinians—frequently the victims themselves—while colonizers face no accountability.
Human rights groups warn that Israel’s policy of shielding colonizer violence while criminalizing Palestinian presence in the Old City constitutes a form of forced displacement aimed at eroding Palestinian life in occupied Jerusalem.

In related news, colonizers hurled stones at Palestinian cars traveling on the road connecting Ramallah and Nablus, near the illegal “Shilo” colony built on Palestinian land northeast of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.
Also Saturday, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a Palestinian teacher early Saturday during an invasion of the Jenin refugee camp, in Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed.
The victim was identified as Noureddin Kamal Hassan Fayyad, 34, a schoolteacher, husband, and father of one child.
Furthermore, Israeli soldiers carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank, assaulting Palestinians, breaking into homes, abducting residents, and imposing movement restrictions in several towns and neighborhoods.
