Israeli occupation forces shot and injured a Palestinian youth late Saturday during an invasion of the Al‑Mahjar neighborhood in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem, in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part.
Local sources said a large Israeli force stormed the area, firing heavy live ammunition and illumination rounds.
Medical sources said a young man was shot in the shoulder and thigh and was transferred by Palestinian Red Crescent Society medics to the hospital.
At the same time, Israeli military vehicles invaded the Ektaba suburb east of Tulkarem, patrolling its main streets and positioning near the Al‑Ma’sara area. The soldiers obstructed the movement of residents and vehicles, though no abductions were reported.
In the south, Israeli occupation forces invaded the town of Al‑Khader, south of Bethlehem. A local source said soldiers spread out around the Grand Mosque and in the Al‑Balboul and Martyr Hamouda Ghneim neighborhoods, firing stun grenades.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the village of Aroura, northwest of Ramallah. Media sources said soldiers spread throughout several parts of the village, with no reports of abductions or home raids.
In related news, Israeli forces abducted several Palestinians, including two children and an elderly man, late Saturday after illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers assaulted residents in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Also Saturday, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a Palestinian teacher early Saturday during an invasion of the Jenin refugee camp, in Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed.
The victim was identified as Noureddin Kamal Hassan Fayyad, 34, a schoolteacher, husband, and father of one child.
Furthermore, Israeli soldiers carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank, assaulting Palestinians, breaking into homes, abducting residents, and imposing movement restrictions in several towns and neighborhoods.
