The Israeli army abducted at least 36 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, especially in Hebron, overnight until morning hours, Sunday.

In a joint statement, the Palestinians Prisoners’ Society and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said Israeli soldiers abducted at least 110 in the occupied West Bank, especially in Hebron and Jenin, over the last few days.

They added that this number only includes the confirmed and documented cases amidst the large-scale invasions and attacks by the army in the West Bank, which are focused on Jenin and now Hebron.

The statement pointed out that Israel has abducted more than 10,400 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the start of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and the serious escalation and assassinations in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.

It explained that these detentions are part of the systematic policies employed by the army as a form of collective punishment against the entire Palestinian population, infringing upon their basic internationally guaranteed rights.

In related news, the Israeli army killed two Palestinian children, on Sunday, at the entrance to the town of Kafr Dan, northwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that on Sunday afternoon, the army fatally shot the two children, Abdullah Nasser Abdullah Hamou, 16, and Mohammed Mahmoud Abdullah Hamou, 13, after chasing and opening fire at their vehicle.

Israeli forces have killed 26 citizens in the past 5 days, including 16 in Jenin Governorate, 5 in Tulkarem, and 4 in Tubas, bringing the death toll in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 679.
