Israeli forces abducted, on Tuesday, two Palestinians, including a child, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, northwest of Salfit, in the central West Bank.
On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces abducted a Palestinian and confiscated a bulldozer in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, northwest of Salfit in the central occupied West Bank.
According to Ibrahim Assi, the town’s mayor, the army invaded the town, seized a bulldozer, and abducted its driver, Musab Rayyan, under the pretext that he was working in an area classified as “Area C”.
Meanwhile, in the southern part of the West Bank, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian child in the Old City of Hebron.
Media sources said that Israeli forces abducted a child from the Da’na family, while he was in the Jaber neighborhood near the Ibrahimi Mosque.
In related news, the army invaded, on Tuesday afternoon, many towns and villages in the northern West Bank governorate of Jenin.
Media sources said that the army stormed many neighborhoods in the towns and villages of Tura al Gharbiya, Khirbat al-Turm, Nazlet Zeid, Al-Araqah, and Jalboun.
According to Ibrahim Abu Al-Rub, the head of the Jalboun Village Council, soldiers erected a military roadblock next to the girls’ school, and continued to occupy the rooftop of the home belonging to the citizen, Rafi’ Rafiq Abu Al-Rub.
On Tuesday afternoon, Israeli forces stormed several towns and villages in the Tulkarem governorate, coinciding with the overhead flight of reconnaissance drones.
Many military vehicles invaded the towns and villages of Zeita, Attil, Deir Al-Ghusoun, Al-Jarushiya, and the suburb of Shweika.
Furthermore, on Tuesday evening, occupation forces invaded the village of Shufa, southeast of Tulkarem, imposed a curfew, and forced shop owners to close.
Media sources said that the occupation army stormed the village, forced stall and shop owners to shut down, detained and interrogated citizens while inspecting their identification.
East of the city, soldiers invaded the town of Kafr al-Labad, and roamed the streets while firing tear gas canisters at citizens; no injuries were reported.
According to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority, twenty two Palestinians were abducted in the occupied West Bank between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
The abductions were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jericho, and Tubas, while at least ten unidentified young men were abducted during the prolonged incursion into the city of Tulkarem and the Tulkarem refugee camp on Monday.
The statement added that the total number of abductions since October 7, 2023 has risen to at least 8,610, including those abducted from their homes, at military roadblocks, those who were coerced to surrender under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
It is important to mention that the PPS issued a statement regarding the injury and abduction of the eight-year-old child, Joud Ashraf Walid Hamidat, in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, northwest of Jericho.
The PPS accused the occupation of committing a crime against the child, after soldiers shot and abducted him on Monday evening.
In the statement, the PPS followed up with the child who is being detained in the Hadassah Al-Issawiya Hospital in Jerusalem, and is being treated for an injury to his neck.
The child”s family said that he was playing with another child near the southern cemetery in the Aqabat Jaber camp when soldiers shot him and abducted him.
The statement continued, “This crime is only part of the systematic crimes that the occupation continues to carry out against Palestinian children, in light of the ongoing genocide against our people in Gaza, and the comprehensive aggression throughout all of Palestine.”
The PPS holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the life of the child in addition to all the children detained in occupation prisons.
On Tuesday morning, Israeli soldiers abducted sixteen Palestinians, including four citizens of the Gaza Strip, in various regions of the occupied West Bank, including Nablus, Ramallah, Jericho, Tubas, and Bethlehem.
