At dawn Monday, Israeli forces invaded the town of Al-Aqaba, northwest of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, shot a Palestinian child, and abducted two citizens.

Many army vehicles stormed the town, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths who burned rubber tires, while armed resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army.

Soldiers opened fire with live rounds and shot a 17-year-old child in the neck; he was transported to the Turkish Tubas Governmental Hospital.

According to Kamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Tubas, said that soldiers abducted the university student, Moamen Abdel Karim Ahmed Ghannam, 19, and Khaled Muhammad Abu Hamad, in an attempt to pressure his son to turn himself in.
