For the 85th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part and its refugee camps, and for the 72nd day on Nur Shams refugee camp, amidst ongoing field escalations involving invasions, destruction, and assaults on citizens and their properties.
Media sources reported that Israeli occupation forces spread across the city streets this morning, stationed on Al-Haddadin Street, set up a flying roadblock, and blocked vehicles from passing in both directions.
The army also prevented shop owners from standing outside their stores and threatened to shoot them while conducting massive and violent searches in the area.
Shortly after midnight, Israeli occupation forces deployed infantry units in the city streets and neighborhoods, stationed in the southern neighborhood, stormed the “Al-Shonnar” café, and subjected the young men inside to interrogation and abuse before abducting Ahmad Naifa.
Another force was present in the western neighborhood, combing and searching everything in its path before soldiers abducted Ahmad Arafa from his home near Hilmi Hanoun School in the area.
Tulkarem witnesses daily escalations in invasions and abductions as part of the ongoing aggression on the city, its refugee camps, and suburbs.
This includes the deployment of infantry and vehicles in its main neighborhoods, chasing young men, assaulting them with beatings, abductions, and prolonged detentions after confiscating their IDs and mobile phones.
On Sunday night, a massive explosion echoed in the Al-Manshiyya neighborhood of Nur Shams refugee camp, east of the city, igniting a fire in one of the homes following the explosion.
Thick smoke rose as the refugee camp remains under tight siege, with streets being bulldozed, homes invaded and ransacked, and residents forcibly displaced.
Several families were forced to evacuate their homes east of the Thannaba suburb, specifically near Jabal Al-Nasr in the refugee camp.
Simultaneously, Nur Shams refugee camp witnesses a massive deployment of occupation soldiers who continue bulldozing, destroying streets, infrastructure—including electricity and water networks—and damaging citizens’ properties.
The refugee camp entrances are blocked with dirt mounds and barbed wire, leaving it empty of residents after their forced displacement and conversion of homes into military barracks.
The occupation army continues to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, turning them into military barracks after forcibly evicting residents. Military vehicles and bulldozers are stationed in the vicinity.
The ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation on Tulkarem and its refugee camps have resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant, in addition to dozens of injuries and abductions.
It has also caused the forced displacement of more than 4,000 families from Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, along with hundreds of citizens from the northern neighborhood of the city after their homes were seized and some converted into military barracks.
The ongoing offensive has inflicted widespread destruction on infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles, which were subjected to complete or partial demolition, burning, vandalism, looting, and theft.
A total of 396 homes were destroyed, and 2,573 partially damaged in Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, in addition to the closure of their entrances and alleys with dirt mounds.
