On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers demolished a rental villa south of Hebron, in the West Bank’s southern part.
Baha’ Hisham Abu Elian told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that the soldiers invaded Ennab Al-Kabeer Village in Thaheriyya and demolished his 220 square meters rental village.
Abu Elian added that he and another Palestinian, Amir Marwan At-Tell owned the rental propertyز
He stated that the demolished village included a 90 square meter swimming pool, decorative retaining walls, and evergreens, in which they invested more than 2 Million shekels.
The army claims the property was built without a permit from the so-called “Civil Administration Office,” the administrative branch of the illegal Israeli occupation.
Also Wednesday, the soldiers demolished a Palestinian home in Jabal Al-Mokabber town, in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.
In related news, the soldiers demolished two agricultural sheds, retaining walls east of Hebron in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and a commercial structure near Bethlehem.
In a report issued on May 19, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OCHA-OPT) revealed that “the Israeli authorities demolished, confiscated, or forced people to demolish 42 structures in East Jerusalem and Area C of the West Bank, including 17 homes, citing the lack of Israeli-issued building permits, which are almost impossible to obtain.”
It added that the demotions displaced 50 Palestinians, including 23 children, and affected the livelihoods of more than 600 others.
