Israeli occupation forces and illegal paramilitary colonizers carried out widespread attacks across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, including abductions, lethal assaults, home demolitions, land seizures, and repeated attacks on civilians. In the Gaza Strip, continued Israeli bombardment killed a fisherman and other residents, while rescue crews recovered additional victims from beneath the rubble.
West Bank
Israeli occupation forces conducted widespread abductions across several districts, detaining at least twenty-five Palestinians, including women and children, during extensive invasions of homes and neighborhoods.
In Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, soldiers invaded residential areas in the city and Deir al-Ghusun, interrogated families, and abducted nine residents.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, soldiers abducted four Palestinians, including one who was shot with live ammunition during a special forces invasion of Balata refugee camp, in eastern Nablus.
Additional abductions were reported in Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, and Burqin, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank, where soldiers invaded homes and interrogated residents. In Azzun, east of Qalqilia, soldiers severely beat Mu’awiya Riyashi, causing significant injuries.
The occupation’s attacks also caused numerous injuries. A young man was shot with live ammunition before being abducted in Balata refugee camp, in eastern Nablus.
In Tammun, southeast of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, soldiers abducted seven members of one family, including minors, after violently assaulting them inside their home in an effort to pressure their son to surrender himself.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, occupation forces abducted four Palestinians, including two children, after detaining them for hours in the southern part of the city.
In Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem, students suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation after soldiers fired gas canisters near schools.
Furthermore, illegal paramilitary colonizers assaulted Mohammad Hussein Hijazi in Abu Njeim, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, spraying pepper gas directly into his face and causing breathing difficulties.
In al-Bireh, in the Ramallah governorate of the central West Bank, occupation forces shot Mohammad Mahmoud Hamdan with live ammunition during an evening invasion of the city.
The occupation also intensified demolitions and land seizures. In the Jericho district, in the eastern West Bank, soldiers demolished five homes and a prayer structure belonging to Omar D’eis and his sons in the al-D’eisat community of al-Jiftlik, in the northern Jericho district.
In Salfit, in the central West Bank, the army demolished an entire herding community west of Deir Ballut, in the western Salfit governorate, displacing more than twenty residents who own approximately one thousand sheep.
In Hebron, soldiers demolished a two‑story home belonging to Fadl al‑Haddar in Khallet al‑Hums, in the Yatta area south of Hebron.
In Jenin, occupation bulldozers destroyed approximately 250 dunams of agricultural land and olive groves in Deir Abu Da’if, east of Jenin. Soldiers also issued demolition orders targeting horse stables, agricultural structures, and an inhabited home in Aaba, in the Jenin governorate.
In related news, an Israeli occupation court rejected appeals against demolition orders targeting twenty‑two homes in Silat al‑Thaher, south of Jenin.
In Tulkarem, farmer Faiz al‑Taneeb received a demolition and stop‑work order for structures in his thirty‑two‑dunam farm “Hakouretna,” located near the apartheid wall.
Illegal paramilitary colonizers carried out coordinated attacks across several districts. In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, colonizers burned the home of Ibrahim Mohammad Abu Arram; set fire to an agricultural room belonging to Khalil Shehada Rib’ey; vandalized property with racist slogans; expanded an illegal outpost in Khallet al-Hummus, in the Yatta area south of Hebron; invaded the home of Khairi Abu Tohfa; and cut the main electricity cable serving Wadi al-Rakhim, in Masafer Yatta.
In the northern Jordan Valley, in the northeastern West Bank, colonizers cut water lines, emptied a water collection well, and destroyed crops belonging to Jihad Masa’id.
Colonizers also attacked a livestock shelter in Beita, south of Nablus; continued clearing land and carving roads in Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, for the third consecutive day; and attacked a Palestinian vehicle in Abu Njeim, south of Bethlehem.
In occupied Jerusalem, dozens of colonizers invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under heavy police protection, led by extremist rabbi Elisha Wolffs, and performed public Talmudic rituals in the eastern area of the compound.
Occupation forces also carried out an airborne military deployment in Yatta, in the Hebron governorate, alongside a large-scale ground invasion of the Fattouh area in Yatta, south of Hebron, claiming the operation was a “training exercise.” Soldiers searched homes, seized surveillance recordings, erected military roadblocks, and closed roads with iron gates and earth mounds.
Furthermore, the Israeli army closed the Ibrahimi Mosque, in Hebron’s Old City, to Muslim worshippers under the pretext of Jewish holidays. The closures also disrupted classes at al-Fayha Girls School and halted them entirely at the Ibrahimiyya Boys School, both in Hebron.
In Nablus, armored vehicles and infantry units invaded several neighborhoods through the Awarta and 17 military roadblocks, including Asira Street, the Austrian Housing area, al-Dahiya, Balata, and the villages of Asira al-Shamaliya and Awarta, all in the Nablus governorate.
Additional invasions were reported in Za’tara, in the Bethlehem governorate; Azzun, in the Qalqilia governorate; Burqin, in the Jenin governorate; Ni’lin and al-Bireh, in the Ramallah governorate; and Tammun and Tubas, in the Tubas governorate. Soldiers detained and interrogated residents before releasing them.
Palestinian prisoner Mo’taz Nitham al-Atrash, 21, died in Ofer Prison, west of Ramallah, after nearly a year in administrative detention. He had no prior medical conditions, and his family was informed of his death without explanation.
Gaza Strip
One Palestinian was seriously injured late Wednesday night when the Israeli army fired a missile at the rooftop of the Daraj School, which shelters displaced families in Gaza City. Medics transferred the wounded man to a hospital.
Israeli naval and air forces continued attacking areas across the Gaza Strip, causing additional casualties and leaving more victims beneath the rubble. Fisherman Wisam Barham al-Aqra’ was killed when occupation navy boats opened fire on his vessel off the coast of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
In the Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City, in the northern Gaza Strip, one civilian was killed and others were injured when occupation aircraft bombed a home on al-Sikka Street.
Saleh Ziad Miqdad died from wounds sustained in an earlier attack in the al-Jawazat area of western Gaza City. Another civilian suffered critical injuries in an airstrike near the western entrance of al-Zawaida, in the central Gaza Strip.
Women and children were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a tent sheltering displaced families in the Mawasi al-Qarara area of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, rescue crews recovered twenty-one Palestinians killed and fourteen injured following the collapse of the al-Sa’ada residential building in Gaza City at dawn on Wednesday. Those killed included twelve children, five women, two men, and two elderly people.
Separately, and excluding the casualties from the al‑Sa’ada building collapse, hospitals across the Gaza Strip reported receiving six Palestinians killed and seventy-one injured in Israeli attacks during the previous twenty-four hours.
The cumulative toll from Israel’s ongoing genocide since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,795 Palestinians killed and 174,869 injured. Since the “ceasefire” began, the total stands at 1,381 killed, 4,757 injured, and 831 bodies recovered.
