On Saturday, Israeli occupation forces intensified their offensive on Tulkarem city and Tulkarem refugee camp for the 76th consecutive day, and on Nur Shams refugee camp for the 63rd day, deploying additional military reinforcements and escalating field operations.

Armored vehicles and troops were stationed around the eastern Salaam roundabout in Tulkarem, obstructing traffic and conducting thorough inspections of vehicles while checking citizens’ IDs. Simultaneously, reinforcements were sent to both Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, accompanied by live fire and frequent explosions.

In Tulkarem refugee camp, soldiers invaded the Abu Al-Foul neighborhood, launching flare bombs and conducting searches that have left the camp devastated. Once vibrant, the area is now desolate, with residents forcibly displaced and infrastructure, homes, and establishments destroyed or burned.

Nur Shams refugee camp remains under tight siege, with loud explosions echoing through the night. Homes in the Al-Mahjar neighborhood were invaded, and young men were detained and subjected to on-the-spot interrogations. The camp has been reduced to ruins, with residents facing relentless aggression.

Israeli forces have also seized residential buildings in Tulkarem’s northern neighborhood, converting them into military outposts. This escalation saw five additional buildings taken over, displacing families who had already fled from the camps. Among the seized properties are Kharyoush 3, Al-Rabee, Al-Ferdous, and others along Nablus Street.

Nablus Street, a vital link between Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, is now lined with military vehicles, severely restricting movement. Dirt mounds block critical pathways, further compounding the residents’ hardships.

During the ongoing aggression Israeli soldiers have killed 13 civilians, including a child and two women—one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have been injured or abducted, while over 4,000 families have been forcibly displaced. Residents of the northern neighborhood face similar fates, with their homes occupied and converted into military outposts.

The destruction is extensive, with 396 homes demolished and 2,573 partially damaged in the two refugee camps alone. Roads and alleys have been rendered impassable, adding to the mounting toll on infrastructure and the resilience of the people.

This crisis underscores the profound human impact of the Israeli military operations in Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, highlighting the urgent need for intervention to address the escalating humanitarian catastrophe.
