On Sunday evening, Israeli soldiers intensified their assaults and violations targeting Palestinians in the Tulkarem refugee camp, located in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

The soldiers threatened the remaining families in the Qaqoun neighborhood, demanding they leave their homes and property as part of an ongoing policy of forced displacement targeting the camp and its residents.

The soldiers also attacked residents in the Abu Al-Foul neighborhood within the camp as they attempted to enter their homes to retrieve essential belongings.

Additionally, the army fired live rounds at women and children trying to return to their homes in the camp, marking a dangerous escalation that exacerbates the suffering of displaced residents, who have been forced to flee their homes due to 49 consecutive days of Israeli aggression.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces chased groups of displaced families in the eastern neighborhood of Tulkarem city, adjacent to the camp, and in Abu Al-Foul, firing at them and forcing them to seek shelter in narrow alleyways.

In another violation, Israeli forces detained medical teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) attempting to enter the refugee camp.

The soldiers also assaulted volunteer medic Fathi Nasrallah, hindering efforts to provide aid to residents, particularly the sick and elderly.

At least 200 families were displaced from their homes in the Tulkarem refugee camp over the past two days due to escalating aggression and threats from Israeli forces, who demanded they vacate their homes and not return.

The occupation forces continued invading and ransacking homes and shops within the refugee camp, vandalizing and looting their contents, and converting several into military outposts.

They also stormed the Return Center for Childhood and Youth Rehabilitation, destroying its contents and stealing its equipment.

Additionally, Israeli infantry units were deployed along the road between Nur Shams camp and the Employee Housing neighborhood in the Ektaba suburb east of the city. They searched the homes of residents Hussam and Haitham Al-Ajouz and interrogated them.

Israeli forces also forced five families, Rajab, Abu Al-Ghayyab, Fathallah, Yassin, and Rayeq, from their homes in the Thannaba suburb near the Tulkarem camp, subsequently converting the houses into military outposts.

These attacks come in the context of the ongoing escalation by the Israeli occupation forces in the city of Tulkarem and its two refugee camps, which has resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant, in addition to the injury and arrest of dozens, and the forced displacement of more than 12,000 citizens from Nour Shams camp, and another 12,000 from Tulkarem camp.

The aggression also caused widespread destruction to the infrastructure, homes, shops and vehicles, many of which were completely or partially demolished, burned, vandalized, looted and stolen.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army has now killed 865 Palestinians, including 180 children: 240 in Jenin, 197 in Tulkarem, 97 in Nablus, 77 in Hebron, 72 in Tubas, 59 in Ramallah, 33 in Qalqilia, 31 in Jerusalem suburbs, 20 in Jerusalem, 4 in Salfit, and 12 in Jericho and the Northern Plains, in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.

In the Gaza Strip, Israel has now killed at least 48,572 Palestinians, including over 17,885 children and 12,300 women, and injured more than 112,032, mostly women and children. Many Palestinians remain under the rubble in various parts of the devastated Gaza Strip.
