Israeli occupation forces escalated military operations across the northern West Bank on Monday evening, converting a Palestinian home into a military post, invading several towns and a refugee camp, and abducting a Palestinian father and son in the Tubas governorate.
Local sources said Israeli soldiers invaded the home of Bilal Al-Ghoul in Deir Al-Ghusoun, north of Tulkarem, near the Annexation Wall in the northwestern West Bank.
The soldiers forced the family out and turned the property into a military barracks, ordering the residents not to return before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The move came amid intensified Israeli military operations in towns and villages north of Tulkarem.
The army also continued its assault on Tulkarem city and the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps for the 596th consecutive day under a strict siege.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces invaded Far’un and Kafr Jammal, south of Tulkarem. Military vehicles moved through residential neighborhoods, obstructing the movement of Palestinian residents and vehicles.
Local sources said the soldiers fired tear gas canisters in several areas of Kafr Jammal. No injuries or abductions were reported.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas, with several military vehicles. Infantry units deployed at the camp’s entrance as reconnaissance drones flew overhead.
Elsewhere in the Tubas governorate, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian man and his son after stopping the family’s vehicle in the Ras Al-Ahmar area, southeast of Tubas.
Human rights activist Aref Daraghma identified them as Walid Ka’abna and his son. Kamal Bani Odeh, director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Tubas, said Ka’abna’s wife was later released, while Ka’abna and his son remained in Israeli custody.
In a separate incident, colonizers continued using bulldozers to level and damage Palestinian farmland in Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.
