Israeli soldiers invaded, on Friday, the cities of Tulkarem, and Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the West Bank, and injured many Palestinians near Nablus in the northern West Bank.
On Friday night, Israeli forces stormed the city of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, and positioned soldiers in the western neighborhood.
North of the city, military vehicles roamed the streets of the Shweika suburb and fired light bombs in the sky overhead.
During the weekly procession in the village of Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the West Bank, Israeli forces attacked participants.
On Friday afternoon soldiers fired concussion grenades and tear gas canisters at the participants of the non-violent demonstration to condemn the ongoing military assault against the people of Gaza.
No injuries were reported.
Furthermore, the army invaded, on Friday night, the city of Qalqilia and the town of Azzun east of the city, while driving their armored vehicles through various neighborhoods.
In the northern part of the West Bank, the army invaded the village of Madama, south of Nablus, which triggered protests among local Palestinian youths.
According to Wajih Al-Qat, the head of the village council, a large army force stormed the village on Friday afternoon.
He added that the soldiers opened fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters at citizens’ homes, causing several people to sustain inhalation injuries.
Al-Qat added that the soldiers surrounded the local mosque during the Friday prayer, in addition to the village council hall, fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades at the buildings shattering the hall’s windows.
