In the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man in the city of Qalqilia and abducted a young man, in addition to critically injuring a child in Azzun town, east of the city.

At dawn Tuesday, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man in the city of Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

A large army force invaded the city of Qalqilia and stormed many neighborhoods of the city.


Media sources said occupation soldiers opened fire at a vehicle and shot Muhammad Sharif Salmi, 20, with four live rounds in the chest, shoulders, and head, killing him instantly.


Palestine TV reported that Israeli forces prevented ambulance crews from reaching the injured young man.

During the incursion, soldiers also abducted the young man, Walid Shuraim, after invading and searching his home in the city.

On Tuesday afternoon, the funeral procession for the slain young man began in front of Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital in the Qalqilia.

Mourners carried the body of the slain young man on their shoulders to his family home, while his loved ones said their final goodbyes.

The body was then transported to the Souq Mosque, where mourners performed the funeral prayer, before burying him in the city’s cemetery.

In related news, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian child in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilia.


Media sources reported that Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at a child while he was near the cemetery neighborhood, shooting him in the neck, causing a critical injury.

Since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 394 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank. In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have killed at least 28,473 Palestinians, and injured at least 68,146, mostly women and children, since October 7, 2023.
