On Wednesday, Israeli forces occupied a residential building, carried out an excavation operation, and delivered demolition orders to 30 commercial shops, in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron,

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation forces seized a 7-storey residential building in the Karantina neighborhood of Hebron, and converted it into military barracks.


He added that the army invaded the broke the external and internal doors of a residential building owned by the citizen, Abdul Fattah Muhammad Shabana.

Media sources said that Israeli forces raised the flag of the occupation state on the building’s rooftop after expelling its residents, informing them of the order to convert the building for “military purposes”.


In related news, the army notified 30 commercial shops of their intention to demolish the establishments in the village of al-Ramadin, southwest of Hebron.

Anis Al-Zagharneh, the director of the Ramadin Municipality told the WAFA News Agency that 30 shops and commercial facilities received demolition notices by occupation forces.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities commenced an excavation campaign in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in the center of Hebron city.

Media sources said that occupation forces began excavation works in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood, with the aim of establishing a new archaeological site.


The Hebron Municipality condemned the occupation’s attempt to establish an archaeological site which serves its illegal settlement scheme.

The Municipality maintained that the excavation operations are illegal and violate its legal rights and ownership of the land.

Furthermore, Israeli forces abducted a young man in the Old City of Hebron, amid the heavy deployment of soldiers in the area.

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation forces abducted the citizen, Muhannad Hussein Al-Natsheh in the Old City of Hebron while he was attempting to reach his home in the Karantina area.
