On Monday, Day 49 since the resumption of genocide, the Israeli army continued the bombarding and shelling across various areas of the devastated, starved and besieged Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.

Amid the ongoing blockade, hospitals in Gaza warned that their remaining fuel supply would last only three more days. International organizations have urged immediate intervention to allow fuel deliveries, cautioning that the collapse of healthcare services is imminent.

Update: One Palestinian was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli bombing targeting an area in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army also fired multiple shells at the Qizan Najjar area, south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, along with heavy barrages targeting an area northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

During the early morning hours, 19 civilians were killed and several others wounded in Gaza City and the northern areas of the enclave.

The Civil Defense reported recovering 15 bodies and rescuing 10 wounded individuals after Israeli airstrikes targeted three residential apartments in the Ramouz residential building, located in the Al-Karama neighborhood northwest of Gaza City. Additionally, residents retrieved four bodies and several injured victims after an Israeli strike targeted a house belonging to the Al-Attar family in the Al-Salatin neighborhood, northwest of Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that on Sunday night, 15 civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Siyam family home on Nakheel Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

At dawn on Monday, medical sources confirmed the death of Ahmad Al-Bayram, who succumbed to injuries sustained two days earlier when his family’s home in the Al-Hawouz area of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, was shelled, bringing the number of slain Palestinians to twelve.

Israeli airstrikes continued across Khan Younis over the past 24 hours, killing 20 civilians—half of them in an attack targeting displaced families’ tents in the Al-Mawasi area, southwest of Khan Younis.

In addition, Israeli artillery shelled areas north of Al-Bureij and Al-Nuseirat refugee camps, as well as the eastern side of Al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza.

In Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, an Israeli strike on a civilian home killed a woman, Fatima Abu Howeishil, and injured eight others.

Amidst the deadly siege, hospitals in Gaza have warned that the fuel for their power generators will barely last three more days. They have issued an urgent appeal to all international humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately.

Middle East Eye has reported that four-month-old Jinan al-Skafy lost her life to malnutrition in a Gaza City hospital, leaving her grieving relatives clinging to her tiny clothes and scrolling through her photos in sorrow.

Her mother, Aya, struggled to keep her daughter alive. With no access to baby formula or medicine and suffering from malnutrition herself, she was unable to produce breast milk.

Since March 2, Israel’s total blockade of Gaza has prevented all humanitarian and commercial supplies from entering, severing an already fragile lifeline for the besieged population.

It is worth mentioning that Israel’s political and military cabinet has unanimously approved the expansion of its onslaught in Gaza.

On Saturday evening, the Israeli army announced the mobilization of tens of thousands of soldiers, however, the operation’s launch may be postponed until after former U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the region, scheduled for ten days from now.

The Israeli government also confirmed that humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza will be handled by foreign companies, likely American firms.

However, this decision remains preliminary and has not yet been officially implemented. In its initial phase, the military plan involves seizing additional territories across the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations has rejected Israel’s proposal to deliver aid to Gaza under the control of its forces.

In a statement, the UN humanitarian team in Gaza warned that Israel’s plan would violate fundamental humanitarian principles, as it seeks to tighten control over essential supplies as a pressure tactic within a broader military strategy.

The proposed delivery mechanism would require UN approval to distribute aid through Israeli checkpoints, under conditions dictated by the Israeli military.

The UN humanitarian team cautioned that the strategy would force civilians to enter military-controlled areas to collect aid, endangering both them and relief workers. The plan is also likely to contribute to further forced displacement.

The United Nations stated, “We can only support plans that uphold humanitarian principles, including humanity, neutrality, independence, and integrity.”

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that its hospitals across the coastal enclave received the corpses of 40 slain Palestinians, in addition to 125 wounded, including many children and women, in the past 24 hours.

Since the resumption of the genocide in Gaza on March 18, 2025, Israel has killed at least 2,436 Palestinians and injured more than 6,450.

Since the beginning of this year, the Israeli army has killed at least 3,085 Palestinians, including 527 children, 318 women, 19 journalists, and 111 elderly.

Israel has now killed at least 52,535 Palestinians, including more than 18,000 children and 12,400 women, in addition to about 11,160 Palestinians who remain under the rubble in various parts of the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the number of wounded Palestinians has exceeded 118,491, largely children, women, and elderly.
