Israeli military bulldozers began, Sunday, to raze Palestinian-owned lands of the village of Shufa, near the northern occupied West Bank city of Tulkarem, according to local sources.
Local activist, Tahseen Hamed, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that 7 Israeli bulldozers leveled the area, which was planted with olive and almond trees.
Hamed added that the reason given to the owners for the expropriation of their land, is the opening of a new road, most likely to serve illegal Israeli settlers.
He said that the owners of the lands are families from the village, who have legal documents proving their ownership.
According to the most recent OCHA Protection of Civilians Report, it was noted that in the occupied west Bank 43 Palestinian-owned structures were demolished or seized for the lack of Israeli-issued building permits, displacing 108 Palestinians.
