Israeli occupation forces uprooted dozens of olive trees on Thursday in the northwestern area of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit in the central occupied West Bank.
Local sources said Israeli bulldozers invaded agricultural land in the area known as Wadi Awad, where soldiers began extensive bulldozing and uprooting of olive trees aged between 10 and 15 years.
The trees belong to several residents of the town, and the destruction caused severe damage to farmland and to the livelihoods of local families.
The sources added that Israeli forces uprooted between 350 and 400 olive trees, owned by, Ayed Abdul‑Rahim Mousa, Ahmad Salman Mousa, Nitham Salman Mousa, Ammar Amin Abdullah, and Ruslan Abdul‑Rahim Mousa.
The assault follows similar actions on Wednesday, when Israeli forces bulldozed land and uprooted dozens of ancient olive trees in the al-Misrara roundabout area of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit, and uprooted around 70 old-growth olive trees at the entrance of Kifl Hares, as part of ongoing illegal colonialist expansion.
