On Saturday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank’s Northern Plains.
Aref Daraghma, a local nonviolent activist against the illegal Israeli colonialist activities, said the colonizers attacked the car of Ahmad Hasan Daraghma in the Um Al-Qaba area, causing damage.
They added that the colonizers attacked Palestinian lands and tents near the Ghazal Spring in the Al-Farisiyya area and burnt crops.
In addition, the colonizers invaded the Khirbet Ad-Deir village, in the Northern Plains, and destroyed water pumps owned by a farmer, Mohammad Hosni Sawafta.
A day earlier, the colonizers invaded the area before Israeli soldiers prevented several Palestinian farmers from using water pumps to irrigate their lands.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
