On Monday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked a Palestinian shepherd and his livestock in the wilderness of Kisan village, east of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
Ahmad Ghazal, the secretary of the Fateh movement in Bethlehem, stated that the colonizers, riding four-wheelers, invaded the village’s wilderness and attacked the shepherd, Ahmad Nassar Rashaida, and his livestock.
Ghazal added that the colonizers threatened to kill Rashaida if he returned to the area, which is part of his village.
Recently, the colonizers have significantly escalated their violations against Palestinians, their homes, lands, and livestock in Kisan and the surrounding area.
On Saturday evening, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers invaded a village east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part and stole about 800 sheep, three horses, two donkeys, and several water tanks.
Also Saturday evening, Israeli colonizers invaded a Palestinian Bedouin community, northeast of the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank, and fired live rounds before burning a home and a car.
In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, and fired numerous gas bombs at homes and shops, causing many Palestinians to suffer from tear gas inhalation.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
