On Friday, fanatic illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian shepherds, before kidnapping one, assaulted an international peace activist, in the Al-Joba area in the West Bank’s Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley.
Mo’taz Bisharat, a Palestinian official in charge of Israeli colonies’ file in the Northern Plains, said the colonizers stormed grazing lands and assaulted shepherds before kidnapping Ahmad Hussein Abu Mohsin.
Boshart added that the colonizers assaulted the kidnapped shepherd, causing various cuts and bruises, before releasing him in an area near the illegal Mehola colony (also known as Michola).
Bisharat also stated that the colonizers also assaulted and injured an international peace activist.
The Palestinians in the Jordan Valley are subject to constant Israeli violations by the paramilitary colonizers who constantly prevent them from herding their livestock, in addition to attacking their communities and opening fire at them, in addition to burning property and lands.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
