On Friday, groups of illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers burned Palestinian agricultural lands, bulldozed properties, and attacked homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that a group of colonizers invaded large swaths of Palestinian agricultural land in Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, and set them on fire.
The flames spread rapidly across the Palestinian lands before locals rushed to extinguish them.
In Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers bulldozed Palestinian lands and installed mobile homes in the Beit Ta’mar area, east of the city.
Hasan Breijiyya, a researcher specializing in Israel’s illegal colonial activities, stated that colonizers invaded Khallet Al-Qasr, east of Beit Ta’mar, bulldozed large sections of Palestinian land, and installed mobile homes to establish a new colonial outpost.
In Jericho, in the northeastern West Bank, a group of colonizers invaded an area near Al-‘Awja Spring, attacked Palestinian lands, caused extensive damage, and obstructed traffic while forcing Palestinians out of the area.
These attacks are part of a broader escalation of violence by Israeli paramilitary and occupation forces, who continue to seize Palestinian land, destroy property, and expand illegal colonies across the West Bank, including in and around occupied Jerusalem.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
