On Sunday morning, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked the Bedouin community of Khallet al-Sidra, east of Mikhmas near occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank. The assailants blocked the community’s only access road and severed electricity cables.
The assault targeted vital infrastructure and forms part of a broader campaign of forced displacement across the occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the colonizers obstructed the sole road leading to the community, effectively isolating residents and preventing emergency access.
In a deliberate act of sabotage, the Israeli assailants cut power lines, leaving the entire area without electricity. These violations disrupted daily life and heightened the vulnerability of families already living under threat.
The Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission stated that this incident is part of a systematic pattern of colonizer violence that has forcibly displaced over 30 Bedouin communities since the beginning of 2025.
These displacements have affected more than 323 families, many of whom have been pushed out of strategic areas in the eastern slopes and Jordan Valley.
The Commission reports that nearly 1,200 settler attacks have been documented this year alone, with 38 percent targeting Bedouin populations.
The location of Khallet al-Sidra and neighboring Maghayir ad-Deir, situated between Deir Dibwan and Mikhmas, makes them particularly vulnerable.
These communities lie in areas coveted by expanding colonialist blocs and are frequently subjected to harassment and land seizures. Maghayir ad-Deir, home to 25 families totaling 124 individuals, has also faced recent displacement pressures and colonizer aggression.
Documentation from the scene shows vandalized water tanks, severed power lines, and residents confronting the aftermath of the attack.
Reports also indicate that colonizers confiscated livestock, including dozens of sheep, and damaged property.
These actions reflect a broader strategy of attrition aimed at erasing indigenous presence from contested zones.
The attack on Khallet al-Sidra underscores the urgent need for international accountability and protection for vulnerable communities living under occupation.
As colonizer violence intensifies, Bedouin families continue to face the dual threat of physical harm and systematic erasure from their ancestral lands.
On Tuesday evening, Israeli colonizers killed one Palestinian, and injured others in the town of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday evening, the death of 22-year-old Sa’id Murad Na’san, after he was shot in the chest by Israeli settlers in Al-Mughayyir.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
Articles 53 and 147, which prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
