Illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers launched coordinated attacks in the occupied West Bank on Sunday evening, targeting Palestinian vehicles, homes, and historical sites.
In the Nablus area, in northern West Bank, the colonizers hurled stones at Palestinian vehicles traveling near the illegal outpost of Yitzhar, damaging several cars.
Later, colonizers attacked vehicles near the Salman al-Farsi roundabout in Huwwara, smashing windows of several cars.
Israeli forces simultaneously tightened restrictions at military roadblocks surrounding Nablus, obstructing movement at al-Morabba’a, Beit Furik, Deir Sharaf, Burin, Awarta, and the road linking Nablus and Qalqilya.
In Naqoura, northwest of Nablus, Israeli colonizers stormed the archaeological site of Sheikh Sha’la Castle, conducting a provocative tour. The site has faced repeated incursions over the past two years.
Near al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, colonizers ran over a young Palestinian man, causing injuries that required hospitalization.
In Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, colonizers, shielded by Israeli forces, attacked a home in the Sahel area, pelting it with stones and attempting to break in. No injuries were reported.
Also, Palestinian youth in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, repelled a group of Israeli colonizers on Sunday after they attempted to storm village lands and damage civilian property.
Local sources said the colonizers arrived under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, prompting intense protests on the village outskirts. The Soldiers fired live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets, and gas grenades at residents, causing several residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
At the time of reporting, approximately 15 colonizers were stationed at the al-Khalata junction west of the village, attempting to block civilian movement. Calls were issued for residents to remain alert and mobilize to reopen the road and prevent further attacks.
Al-Mughayyir has faced repeated assaults from colonizers based in surrounding outposts. Previous attacks have resulted in the killing and injury of village residents, along with widespread destruction of agricultural land.
In related news, a group of Israeli paramilitary colonizers established a new colonial outpost on Sunday on privately owned Palestinian land west of Deir Istiya, in the northwestern part of Salfit Governorate, central West Bank.
On Sunday morning, Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked the Bedouin community of Khallet al-Sidra, east of Mikhmas near occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank, blocked the community’s only access road and severed electricity cables.
Last Tuesday evening, Israeli colonizers killed one Palestinian, and injured others in the town of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday evening, the death of 22-year-old Sa’id Murad Na’san, after he was shot in the chest by Israeli settlers in Al-Mughayyir.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
Articles 53 and 147, which prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
