On Thursday evening, paramilitary Israeli colonizers soldiers invaded Beit Dajan town, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, burnt lands and injured one Palestinian.
According to medical sources, the Palestinian, a 24-year-old young man, was treated by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society teams after being beaten by the colonists.
The sources added that the medics moved the wounded young man to a hospital for further medical attention due to his multiple wounds.
The Palestinian was injured after the colonizers carried out attacks on the outskirts of the village, leading to the destruction of agricultural land.
Local sources said the colonizers set fire to crops, olive trees, and wheat, causing significant damage to the local farmers’ livelihoods.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
